Awkwafina began as a American musician and rapper making sly songs that addressed issues such as racial and sexual identities with a funny twist. In the years before she stepped to Hollywood the singer could release a number of songs. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Additionally, she was given the classical and jazz education later becoming a hip-hop teenager. Following a focus on education, she graduated with the degree of journalist in university and also a women's study specialization. The focus on music until she finished her studies. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also featured viral hits like the body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC BitcheUSD. This track was directly linked into another venture Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. The singer decided to make a career as an actor after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. Along with early series like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors as well as Storks. In the year 2018, she was offered an array of noteworthy performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, in Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
